Petrix Maps supports a variety of ways for you to search for any wellsite in any of the supported states in the United States. You can search by typing in the well name, API number, or geohash.

Another way to search for wellsites is to use the location marker to search for nearby wellsites in a specific region.

What is an API Number?

An API Number is a unique identifier that is assigned to a wellsite. The API Number is 10 digits long. The first 2 digits represents the state it's in, the next 3 digits represents the county, and finally the last 5 digits represents the unique well identifier.

I am having trouble finding a wellsite on Petrix Maps. What can I do?

Try to re-enter the search query into the search box and it should suggest a different set of results. If not, try performing a different search using either the wellsite's api number, wellsite's name, or wellsite's geohash coordinate. If you still cannot find the well you are looking for, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you. We update our cloud database on a schedule so that the information is always changing. If the wellsite you are looking for is new, then chances are it won't be found on our database until in a future update to our cloud database.

Is there an online dashboard for Petrix Maps?

We have an online dashboard for Petrix Maps, but that is for Enterprise users only which is billed separately from the Petrix Maps for mobile. It has additional features and as an enterprise user, you can purchase license access to add your company's coworkers so that they don't have to pay in order to access the Petrix Maps mobile app.

Is Petrix Maps available as a native program on Windows or MacOS?

No. The closest thing to it is Petrix Maps Enterprise, which is an online web portal for enterprise level users accessed via the web browser of your choice.
